The Artist says:
You have to access it using an actual Kindle device.

Here's more info on the program:

From this link

Narrow it by genres through the column on the left. Make a wishlist for those that interest you. Search for the title and borrow it from your kindle.

I have made numerous attempts to use the Owners Lending Library with no success. I tried to get a book and ended spending $5.00 by accident for a book.

either tell me what I am doeing wrong or I must request a refund for the useless Prime program !!!

Which Kindle device do you own?
Did you read the instructions?

We can't tell you what you're doing wrong until you tell us what you are doing.

Did you try to borrow the book using the computer? Do you have a Kindle (not an app) registered to the account with the Prime membership?

~nospin says:
If you are being charged for it, you are not borrowing from an actual kindle.

flipoid says:
The Prime program (which is a SHIPPING program) is not useless. Your lack of knowledge about it doesn't make it useless.

You must use your actual KINDLE to do the borrowing. What part of "Buy for $5.00" didn't you understand when you clicked that button?

Dude. The Prime program is NOT a book-borrowing program. The one book a month is a little free-cookie bonus for the SHIPPING program that is Prime's reason for existence. Shipping. Not books. Shipping.

Cassie Anne says:
Then you should have read about Prime. It's first and foremost a shipping program, and has been since its inception. The streaming videos and KOLL are add-on perks to that.

R. D. Clark says:
Kienle, the KOLL is the "benefit." The shipping benefits are the true purpose of the program. As for your expectations, I find basing mine on actual published information rather than wish-fulfillment fantasies works better for me.

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 12, 2013 8:55:04 AM PDT
No, $80 dollars to get 2-day shipping on MILLIONS of items, unlimited streaming of THOUSANDS of TV shows and movies, AND one book per month. Just because you may not use the other "benefits" as you call them does not mean the program is a ripoff.

"Then you should have read about Prime."

You'd think all these supposed readers would actually READ about the program, eh?

In reply to an earlier post on Mar 12, 2013 8:55:56 AM PDT
I must have missed the paragraph describing the all-you-can-read buffet.

You were the one that started with stating it's a ripoff and that you were "expecting a lot more."

If you don't want demeaning responses, don't start with a demeaning post.

Ralph, if you click on the BUY button you will ALWAYS be charged for the book. You have to click on the BORROW button and you have to do that from an actual Kindle.
