I see Candy Crush in the app store finally.

Pass the word.

That's just great-more people playing games instead of working! (Can you tell this really annoys me?) :)

I downloaded it and opened it this morning. I'm not sure what all the shouting is about. It's just Bejeweled. With candy.

(The redirect here would be that each puzzle has a different challenge, compared to Bejeweled. This game limits your moves, and makes you do a puzzle again until you solve it.)

Anyone holding a Fire, I wouldn't assume they were working, anyway. It's really not a productivity tool, as much as people try to make it one. It's a toy.

I thought I would hate it. I don't. Some of the level are pretty tough. I'm on level 207, been stuck there for a week or so. It's a fun way to pass the time when sitting at the hair salon etc.

Oh, I didn't hate it, either. My son wandered in on his way to the dryer for his shirt, and we spent several minutes playing it. It's cute.

We were visiting our son last May for his graduation, and he mentioned that "it was a racket because it was impossible to pass without buying cheats..."

At that point, I was on level 105 I think, and hadn't purchased any cheats or tricks to get that far. He took it as a challenge, and plays now also. I guess he figured if his non-college education 54 mom could play without cheats, he could too.

So funny, especially if you knew this particular son.

Is that any worse than posting on forums instead of working? :-)

147 will beat the desire to play right out of you.

I was at that point on like level 8, the first time I ran out of moves, not having realized there was a limit. But then 1) I don't like puzzles, and 2) I'm not competitive.

207? I am stuck on level 100 because I refuse to spend any money on the game to help me finish a level. I wish they'd offer a paid game that already had extra moves included with the game price.

I just reached level 209 this morning.

I was stuck on 147 for a long time but it was a fun one to play and I was pretty sure I would make it eventually so I didn't mind so much. Now I'm stuck on 162 and I hate it because it really seems totally random. And I refuse to pay for any cheats.

they don't have a paid ad free version?

In reply to an earlier post on Oct 18, 2013 11:36:05 AM PDT
I don't notice ads on CC. I play it on my iPad, iPhone, and now the HDX.

I have your model Kindle. 8.9". Looking for head phone jack. I have found the 2 usb ports. Is there an adapter for plug in head sets?

The headphone jack on a Fire HD 8.9" is next to the power and volume buttons, on one of the short sides of the device. It's a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

The ... round ... hole?

ybik

Gerryl, you seem a bit lost. But to answer your question, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack on that model. You don't use the USB or the HDMI ports for headphones. The headphone port is round. If you are using a cover, is it hiding it?

I meant to ask that. Yes an otterbox. I am totally lost actually. Will I have to remove the entire cover? Just took cover off and so I guess I will. Have more ? Will be back.

Have been playing for 6 months on the original fire but stuck on level 68. This morning I heard a news article about someone on level 200 that took a year to get there. Mary

Okay, I'm going to throw this out there. Is the Fire in the Otterbox the correct way? Is there an opening that's supposed to fit over the earphone jack to allow access? Do you need to spin the device around in the cover?
