More eReader... am counting...
10 pgs + 14 = 494 at 1:03 am PDT

I know what you mean about 'not quite awake'. I did grab a quick nap but the alarm was jarring. And good advice - I switched to Ninja Tea™.
I dunno... maybe they had their brainsss sucked out by Zombie Kitty and the band of roaming zombie marauders... I'd just ignore it.
lol nah, just slow

kinlib has updated: http://us.kinlib.com/new/e3e2/

finish? The sun's not up yet... lol

Have a well-deserved sleep, Cinder! Thanks again for winging.

Yep - and there is a 'Sort' option, whereby it clusters the different genres alphabetically. I rather like that.

Good morning. Sorry to bother you guys, I'm just wondering why you don't want the authors to list the free books here. Since they are promoted free typically for only 1 or 2 days, it seems like that would be the fastest way to locate them?

@seedtosalad

It is against the Amazon Terms of Service. You can post a thread of your own at the Meet our Authors forum. All free books from KDP, will be listed on our main updates each day.

Grandma says:
It isn't that "we" don't want authors to list here. It is Amazon's rule that authors cannot post other than in Meet Our Authors. You can thank the large number or authors who abused the threads with constant spamming of their books.

Amazon will remove author posts. Meanwhile, you will generate a large number of "Report Abuse" complaints and find yourself on a fair number of Do Not Buy lists.

Two from eReaderIQ:

Blood Orchids (The Lei Crime Series) - Hawaii is palm trees, black sand and blue water-but for policewoman Lei Texeira, there's a dark side to paradise. On a routine patrol she finds two murdered teenagers-one of whom she'd recently busted.

I'm wondering if anybody has a Fire - my usual routine is to collect the freebies every day, sending them to the Cloud, then at night remove the books from the carousel. Tonight, there weren't any new books on it. Have they changed to not putting undownloaded books on the carousel?

Back to bed...will check back later.

Good Morning all.

Thank you Babel and Cinder for the launch/wings!

Hi Grandma. I noticed an unusually large number of "cook books" on ereaderiq today. Did I miss National Cookbook Month or something?

I zipped thru ereaderiq and 1-clicked way too many already. I bypassed many more that I bet show up later and I end up clicking.

Question: what would be the fastest way to post some links of my picks since I didn't do it while I was manically clicking? I so wish to help contribute before the sandman hopefully takes me away. 0515 hrs here and I'm contemplating coffee which will most likely keep the sandman at bay, but make for a useless mom today. What to do, what to do........

Good morning, WiccanWonder!

I'd go to your MYK and look over the list of books you've 1-clicked. Then use the + to click on product details. Then copy the ASIN to insert into the box when you click "Insert a product link" in your post, and edit for extra info if you wish.

The long way, which I do when I have the time, is I open up Notepad and compose the post with links and info, then paste into a post.

Hope this helps. :)

P.S. I've already switched to tea. Or else I'll be super-wired *and* groggy all day. :)

ETA: Another quick way (but it doesn't work well consistently) is to copy the url of the book and paste it directly in your post. But it's fast, when you're pressed for time.

Ava*Maria says:
Gone-After Charley dies in her office chair, how is it that she finds herself propelled into the mysterious world of Avalon?

Upon encountering an essence, which insists is her daughter - the one she knows she left behind - insanity battles with fear inside her mind.

The further she delves, the more puzzling things appear, especially after she rises into the Orb of Caprice - a realm of fairies, talking flowers and goblins...and something else, something that lurks in the shadows ready to swallow her whole.

Can she realise in time what it is she must do...or has she left it too late?

Gone is a story inspired by a true event.

Lightning in my Wires-Avery lives in La La Land with a boyfriend who's totally loaded. Their bond is made strong by a passion for escapism. He pops pills and inhales cocaine, teetering between manic and despondent. She numbs her pain with Mary Jane and exorcisms that combine vodka and razor blades. When her deviance becomes more than her man can handle, he boots her out of his mansion and revokes her ticket to ride out life in oblivion.

So she bungees a box of Fed Ex'd memories from her mom to her motorbike, stuffs her cats in a knapsack, and turns her back on the days of dizzy living.

With the pain of the lush life lodged in her veins, and ruminations from the box, Avery sets out on a path to calm the "lightning" in her wires - a journey that's about learning from her mistakes, and learning how to accept herself entirely - one that will ultimately change her life forever.

A true, love story, Lightning in my Wires, explores a young woman's effort to change her perception, on a trek that doesn't require a trip around the world.

My Butterfly-***Warning***
This book contains intense scenes of physical and mental abuse. It also explores sexual themes of a taboo nature. Please do NOT purchase this eBook if you find such content disturbing or offensive. However, if you enjoy a story that deals with deep-seated issues, healing past hurts, and the positive transformation that ensues, please purchase this riveting tale! An abusive marriage isn't all that uncommon; getting out of one after more than fifteen years is. Every survivor has their personal way of coping, Katherine uses her art to heal scars that refuse to fade. To be completely free, she must face the dark secret of a disturbing desire that was born within her destructive marriage.

Last Stop This Town-The debut novel from "American Pie" series screenwriter David H. Steinberg. It's the last weekend before high school graduation, and as they prepare to go their separate ways, four life-long friends spend a wild and raucous night in New York City that forces them to face their fear of growing up... and growing apart.

West Hartford, Connecticut. Growing up in the suburbs is a mind-numbingly boring experience for most teenagers, and high school seniors Dylan, Noah, Pike, and Walker are no exception. They spend their days testing how fast they can drive on the local residential streets, bribing homeless dudes to buy them beer, and attending crappy house parties. So when Dylan proposes that they spend their last weekend of high school in New York City attending an underground rave, the guys are ready to make some serious memories.

In New York, though, the guys have run-ins with a drug dealer with a penchant for fire extinguishers, a Chinese restaurant owner with a score to settle, an Albanian street gang, con men, hookers, performance artists, and a gaggle of hot, degenerate, rich girls. Over the course of one incredible night, their outrageous journey gives the guys a bonding experience they'll never forget, as they learn that part of growing up means they're going to have to face their futures on their own.

(Parental advisory: This book contains strong language, drinking, drugs, and sexual situations, all involving teens.)

*** "I really enjoyed this book. The research is impeccable. It shows the hysteria around the witchcraft trials and the effect it has on Salem which is still apparent today. A wonderful book and a great read."-Cathleen Ross, Harlequin Romance Writer
*** "Being both a history buff and serious lover of all things time-travel, I really loved this book. The blending of Lily's historical studies and Gabriel's arrival from that era made for a perfect match. The disagreements between the Snow's and the Blackstone's added spice to the storyline. The characters were realistic and the descriptions of Salem in both time periods were very clear. I look forward to the continuing adventures of these characters."-Book Vamps Top Pick of the month.
