cloud question

First thought: the book may not be compatible with your device. You'd need to tell us which Kindle you have and the name of the book for us to help you determine if that's the case. Or, you can look at the product page for the book, and if there's a link below the price for "Available only on these devices," click that and see if your book is listed.

Second thought: you purchased it using your computer, you may purchased it using a different account than the one the Kindle is registered to. Even though people insist that they only have one account, it's very easy to create a second account without realizing it.

"Loaded a book onto your Amazon cloud" sounds like it was a book you bought elsewhere and you sent it to your Amazon cloud as a personal document. Is that correct?

"Going to your homescreen and pressing cloud" sounds like you have a Fire. Is that correct? Can you see all your other books in your cloud?

I have a paperwhite. The file was a epub which I converted to mobi. I have emailed the file to my kindle and it works. But it does not show you on my cloud. In face none of my purchases show up on my cloud or under manage my kindle. I am lost arrrrh.

If you e-mail a document to your Kindle, that's the only place it's saved to. If you want a document to be part of your online library/cloud, you have to use the Kindle Personal Document Service:

Artist's info about emailing to kindle vs a personal document is important, but if you're not seeing *any* of your purchases under your MYK page, then it does also sound like you've accidentally created a second account.
