how do I remove a book from my kindle fire even from the cloud?

You can delete them permanently from your account via the manage your kindle page. Just be aware that if you do that and decide you want to read it again, you will have to repurchase.

I wasn't gonna tell them how unless they came back and asked as I'm not a big fan of deleting books using that method as I lost a book that way

Yeah true, it would be easy to delete the wrong one. I personally don't see the point of deleting books anyway unless it's absolutely terrible and unreadable.
