I can't open the books I downloaded from my Kindle to my Samsung Galaxy 4G LTE Tablet. I can bring them up but when I tap screen nothing happens!

Back up a little. You didn't download e-books from your Kindle to your tablet so how exactly did you put them on the tablet?

You need to access them from your Amazon account with the Kindle Android app. You can't copy them from device to device.

I talked to the Kindle people and they downloded 164 books onto my tablet. When I bring up my Kindle app on the tablet, they are all there.

They're all WHERE, exactly? If they're in your archives, then they're not actually downloaded, it's just that you can see the titles. You'd need to download whichever ones you want to read (mostly that's by a double-tap on the icon, or something like that).

I don't know who the Kindle people are and obviously I don't know where *they* got these 164 e-books but, as Old Rocker explained, they can't be copied or transferred from one device to another except the rare few that aren't DRM protected. Most Amazon-purchased e-books are DRM protected which means that each and every file is coded to a specific device app that's registered to your Amazon account. So even if there are e-book files on your tablet, odds are they aren't coded to your tablet, assuming your tablet app is registered to your account.
