I used to be able to return a book to the library by going to manage my account and then clicking on actions and going to return this book. Return this book is not there anymore so how do I return a public library book.

There appears to be a problem with MYK with the new Internet Explorer update. Use Firefox or Chrome and you should be all set.

I have deleted books from my Kindle library, but the titles remain on the list. How do I delete those??

Ann - your question isn't related to this topic. However - do you realize that if you delete books that you bought from Amazon from the list in Manage Your Kindle, you will no longer have access to those books? It's one thing to delete books from your Kindle; but you don't really want to delete books you own from the archive. If you mean library books, it's a 2-step process. 1. Return the book. Wait ages for the screen to refresh. Then Delete this book.

I returned a library book on Amazon.com but it remains checked out on my digital library account. On my Paperwhite the books shows "loan ended". There seems to be a problem between Amazon.com and my library. And I am on a Mac.

I do not know why, but some libraries do not acknowledge early returns. You will need to check with your library to see if they do or not.

Does that mean the title does not become available sooner to the next person on the waiting list? Because that would stink. Or maybe it *is* available to the next patron, but you just don't get an acknowledgement?

I do not know. I would hope it is made available if the library is notified of the return.. if not then yea, that would stink.

My library lets you return everything but open epubs. Kindle books, PDFs, and epubs with DRM can be returned early, but not open epubs. What I found really annoying is that the library only allows three checkouts, and that open ePub counted as one of them for the full two weeks even though I read it the same day I checked it out! So since it was taking up one of my checkouts, I'm pretty sure no one else could get it, which seems silly to me.

On the 3rd day after returning on Amazon.com, the book finally is gone from my account...now, it is available for another checkout. And yes, it took up a checkout in my account. However my digital library seems to allow me to change the checkout time to 7 days from 14. I never have done it, but I'll have to try it next time. Thanks for the interest in this report.

I have returned my book back to the library and some books lately don't show on my amazon account but on my kindle under books they still show there with a red circle in the bottom right hand corner with an exclamation point on it. How do I get them off my kindle?

What kind of Kindle do you own? That makes a difference in the instructions.
