I would like to remove Kindle PC from my computer as I now have a Kindle HD 8.9 , however I wonder if removing Kindle from my pc would affect the use of Cloud.

If you mean, would it affect the Kindle Cloud Reader, the answer is no.

It depends a bit on what operating system you're using. If it's Windows, have you tried clicking the uninstall option through "all programs"? Or through the add/remove programs option on the control panel? (though I know it's not actually called quite the same thing in Win 8).

The other thing is, uninstalling doesn't actually delete the "my kindle content" folder, which stores your downloaded K4PC books. If you reinstall, all that folder's contents are still accessible. To fully remove it, delete that folder as well.

So what makes you say you can't seem to remove it?

Hello CBP the bookworm,
I seem to has worded this question wrong( I can't seem to be able to remove Kindle PC from my PC). I had Kindle on my PC and did my downloading to that, now I have a Kindle 8.9 and I find that when I try to download to it from Amazon it wants to go to my PC Kindle. How do I go about removing it from the Kindle store -send to box.
Regards.

You can deregister the Kindle for PC app from your account. Click "Your Account" at the top of any Amazon page, then "Manage Your Kindle", then "Manage Your Devices".

If you want to keep the Kindle for PC app on your account, you can just edit your device names so that the Fire comes first alphabetically. That will put it first in the Deliver to menus so that you don't have to select it when placing an order.
