I think cars should be a lot cheaper. And car repairs should be a lot cheaper.

medical bills (I can't believe how cheap medical and dental costs are in France compared to the US - especially for medicines)

And they should be less complicated.
I had outpatient surgery the first week in July. I'm still getting bills from various places.

price fixing is what does it plus the ability to go into a pharmacy, describe your symptoms and get what would normally require a doctor's visit and a prescription for an extremely low price. Plus you have a shopping list of stuff you have to bring to a hospital for surgery instead of paying 20+ USD for a pair of booties or 10+USD for an tylenol - you get your medicine and supplies ahead of time and bring them with you

and what i really like is that they give you your records, xrays, etc to carry with you when you go

My surgery was not at the hospital but at the doctor's "surgery center". I got a bill from a Hospital on the other side of the city! I guess some of the lab work was sent there. The bill is not very detailed.

We are fortunate to have pretty good insurance. However, we never pay anything until all of the EOB's have been received. I didn't make the final payment until just last week.

Writers and publishers deserve to be paid for their work. In general, I think e-book pricing is quite reasonable and have no complaints about how they are priced. New releases by bestselling authors are more expensive, as has always been the case for print editions as well, but I seldom pay more than $7.99 for most e-books and frequently pay much less, including promotions such as the Kindle Daily Deals and promotional giveaways which are impossible to do with print editions.
