To be clear, I'm from Britain and I now live in Berlin, Germany.

In order to be able to use the Amazon Prime lenders library I transferred my account from .co.uk to .de. Furthermore I made sure my payment card and address were all updated.

I use a Bank of Scotland debit card to buy everything from the amazon.de website but when I attempt to download an App (even free ones) it says that my card isn't supported, can anyone please help me?

Mr. McMaster - Apps are only available in certain countries served by their specific websites. You must be a resident of the country of the website from which you are trying to buy them. And you are. However, in order to "prove" residency, you need to have a German credit/debit card with a German billing address to buy even free apps on Amazon.de.

Thank you very much for the quick response! I've been looking for an answer to this for a few days now. I suppose a trip to the bank is now in-order!

Mr. McMaster - You're welcome. In the future, you may want to post in the Kindle Help Forum. There are a few European based Pros who know a lot of the international rules, tips and tricks.
