Issue loading Facebook newsfeed on Kindle Fire HD app

Yesterday my facebook newsfeed suddenly started loading improperly. The most recent posts appear fine, but as you scroll down, the the display looks wrong and you can only scroll down a limited amount whereas before and with facebook on other devices you can scroll infinitely. Other fb pages look fine. I only see this with the newsfeed. Ive already uninstalled/reinstalled the app, rebooted the kindle fire hd, and even deregistered/reregistered the device. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

The email i received was no help. I called amazon and the rep i talked to was much better. He's getting the technical team involved and is making them aware that many of us are experiencing this behavior. It sounds likely that this related to a software update that happened behind the scenes. If so it will be corrected with the next update and we won't need to take any action. i should be getting a call in the next day or two with a status update. i will post any additional relevant info.

The problem with Facebook is they keep messing with things and breaking the apps. We just got an update a couple of days ago from the Play Store but unfortunately you have to wait for Amazon to release an update. Hopefully it will be in the update planned for some time this month.

What will it take to get Amazon to respond to this thread? Has anyone received any information about a fix in the works? Amazon, are you listening??

I was led to believe the amazon technical team is working on this, but in fact, it really is an issue with the developers at facebook, not amazon. This sort of display error can be caused by a simple coding mistake. During our lengthy conversation, I gave the customer service rep permission to access the logs on my Kindle Fire HD so he could see, and forward on to the powers that be, specific information about the last facebook application update so the problem could be identified and solved as soon as possible. Whenever the app is updated again, it should be fixed.
