paperwhite cover auto-sleep

Question:
When you close the cover > auto-sleep.
Do you need to power off the paperwhite with the switch
when not using for a long time like overnight?
Would this use more battery power?

Alain, it's best to just let a Kindle sleep when not being used, unless it is going to be an extended time, like a week or more. As long as the WiFi is turned off, the battery isn't being used for the sleep mode pictures.
