Broken Kindle Screen

Okay, my gramma bought me a Kindle back in August from the Amazon website, and now it's January. I go to open up my Kindle's case and I see the screen's broken. I have no idea how it happened since it's been sitting on my desk between reads. I've read the warranty and it's a bunch of confusion, I just want to know that if I send in my kindle, will it be repaired, replaced or am I just screwed and have to buy a new one?

GhostWing - It's still covered under the one year warranty. Contact customer service. They'll probably replace it for you.

You may have to sign in. I would recommend you use the 'Phone' or 'Chat' options instead of e-Mail.

Make sure you are talking to Kindle Customer Service when you speak to someone.

I have seen many people get a replacement for a broken screen while under warranty. Good luck! =)

Sorry to hear you're still sick. I've been okay, but kind of tired.

I wanted to tell you that our "deranged" buddy followed me all over the forums the day after our discussions correcting my grammar. Another poster was following her, pointing out I was correct. Haven't seen her since. ;-)

I called customer service for my grand daughters kindle and they said they do not do repairs. It is still under warranty. She told me to contact a place that fixes cell phones etc. Has anyone out their cracked their kindle screen and had it repaired. If so where did you get it repaired.

If it's still under warranty, Amazon would replace it. Edit: Maybe not for breakage, silly me. Sorry.

You can google "kindle repair"; there are services that attempt it.
