Anyone know how you can fix the kindle once it is dropped and broken? Just purchased the kindle about a month ago. Still brand new. Anyone know what can be done?

Amazon doesn't do any repairs. You can look for a local electronics repair. Unless you bought extended coverage for accidents, the glass isn't covered but there's a chance that customer service will take pity and send you a free replacement.

The screen is the most expensive component of a Kindle and it's generally not cost effective to replace it.

Yikes! I'm a great believer in Sqare Trade. They've replaced one Paper White that went in the hot tub & a Fire that got dropped off a 3rd story balcony & landed on cement-no questions & got them the following day.

If you used a credit card to pay for it, check the card to see if they have Purchase Protection. For example, my AMEX card has 90 day coverage if damaged or lost (some exclusions). Worth a shot. Good luck!

Call Customer Service at 1-866-321-8851. The product is under warranty, so you may get a new one totally free. However, careless handling can void your warranty, so you may not get a freebie. They may send you a refurb for half price. It is worth checking into.
