When I click on "Web" on my Kindle Fire a website that I DO NOT want to see keeps popping up. I keep clearing my browsing history but it keeps showing up. I was browsing and accidently clicked on this site and now can't get it off of my kindle. This is not something I want to see nor do I want my kids to see it. Help please....How do I completely clear it off my device?

Q says:
Try this (if the first thing works, no need to do the second one):
* Go to your HOME page
* Gear Wheel (upper right) > More... > Applications
* Set upper drop-down filter menu to "All Applications"
* Swipe down to "Browser"
* "Clear Cache"
* "Force Stop"

Now see if that web page stops popping up. If not, then do the above again, only this time add:
* "Clear Data"

'Clearing Data' will unfortunately wipe out your browser bookmarks and passwords but should get the Silk web browser going without that unasked for tab/page.

Be sure to do the below steps within the web browser to finish setting it up:
* Open the web browser
* Click on the Menu icon (washboard look) on the bottom bar
* Settings
* Re-enable Flash by setting it to "Always On" or "On Demand"
* Be sure JavaScript is still enabled
* Acceleration OFF

Q says:
Could you tell me which of the two steps/suggestions worked for you?

"Force Stop" or the more extreme "Clear Data"?

Is there any way to save your bookmarks before you clear your data? I just cleared my data a few months ago to free up space and hand wrote my bookmarks down... there were over 200, and now I have double that... I mean, is there an easier way?
