I think kindle is missing out on a big opportunity by not getting rights to College books and texts. The ability to search phrases on your kindle comes in extremely handy when taking a test online. In fact I won't take an online class if I can't get the book for the class on kindle. Does anyone else know how to get pdf format textbooks or readable ebooks?

Amazon would love nothing more than to offer EVERY book on Kindle. You need to contact the publishers -- its up to them.

Amazon can only over what publishers provide to them. You will have to contact the publishers and let them know you want the textbooks available for Kindle.

I would love the heavy The Norton Anthology of English Literature (Ninth Edition) (Vol. 1) but, as has been said, it's up to the publisher.
