I want to free up some space on my kindle without losing the music I have already downloaded.is there a way to put the music already saved on my kindle onto the amazon cloud? For the life of me I can't figure out how to do it. And btw...I didn't purchase any of the songs from Amazon or iTunes, they were all downloaded free with an mp3 downloader app

CatChat says:
The only thing stored in your cloud is your Amazon digital purchases, nothing else.

Grimwinder says:
You can store whatever you like in your Cloud drive, you are given 5gb of space for free with your Amazon account, anything above that requires a paid plan. It will not be a part of your Kindle libraries however, just stored with access through your Amazon account via the web.

Grimwinder - The Cloud Drive (for documents, personal videos and photos) is not the same thing as the Cloud Player for music. They are two totally different things. If you store music in the Cloud Drive, you can't access it using a Fire.

yeah... it's too bad that Amazon joined everyone else with a "cloud" storage area, along with their own Amazon Kindle "cloud" library,
which was the previously named "archive" library.

SO - if you store some music on your Amazon "Cloud Drive" -
how do you access & play it on your Kindle Fire -
or other Android/iApple device ?

Oh Yeah - you have to use "another cloud" - the Cloud Player app -
which is really called the Amazon MP3 - and not even Cloud Player..

PS56k - You'd have to move the music files from the Cloud Drive to your computer and upload it to the Cloud Player.

I am well aware of that. That's why I said- "It will not be a part of your Kindle libraries however, just stored with access through your Amazon account via the web."

I pay for the unlimited music storage and have ripped and uploaded all my CDS and they all show up on my Fire HD under the Music tab. I just have to touch the album and it plays no problem.

You have to upload the files from your computer though using the Amazon Music Importer app but once uploaded you can play them on the Fires with no problems.
