There are several books in my kindle library that are available in whisper sync, however, Kindle doesn't recognize that I already own the book, and subsequently doesn't allow for the adjusted ($) purchase of whisper version!

You need to make sure you're actually signed in on the same account you used to buy the book.

Thanks for the response BB/KK
I believe that I only have the one account. I have several devices ,but only the one account.
I'm not sure, but I believe that some of these "purchases" may have been at very special intro prices. Do you think that could be the issue? Am I being punished for catching them as bargains?

It has to be the exact version of the book that matches the audio book. You can see which of your books are eligible for whispersync for voice by looking here:

Thanks,
Should I assume that "exact version" also ties into the pricing? I guess that I have allowed myself to be so terribly spoiled by the affordability and accessibility that kindle has given me/us (voracious readers) that... Wait, I think I just clicked to Bruce's handle - "Kindle Kurmudgeon!"
Thanks Artist the matchmaker will be very helpful!

There are some free books that I downloaded that have whispersync for voice matches, so it's not tied to the price. It's believe it's tied to the ASIN number of the book, not the title of the book.
