There was already "Chick Lit"; why are you surprised by "Men's Adventure"?

You are easily offended. The Internet is probably not a good place for you.

Perhaps the OP thinks that a book can't be Fiction and Adventurous at the same time.

I wonder if the OP is offended by the idea that a particular genre might be considered "off limits" based on gender. But ... there are men who read Harlequins. And there are women who read hard-boiled crime novels.

The categories just help people find what they ARE looking for; they don't tell people what they CAN'T look for.

And non-Christians who read Christian fiction. And Christians who read non-Christian fiction.

I read Amish fiction, and have never been in a buggy.

Genres are suggestions, not fences.

"Didn't know books had genetalia! "

This is a feature of paper books, not a bug. The member serves as a bookmark. Just flip it up and GENTLY close the book when you're done reading. Please, please, please, do NOT slam the book shut.

I'm wondering if the OP has a vivid imagination about what "adventure" means.

Are you offended by all genitalia (the correct spelling, btw), or just a book's genitalia? Please, we are breathlessly awaiting information on how you feel about it.

It is not so much sorting books by sex, as by content. I would expect "Men's Adventure Fiction" to be fictional tales of boys / men having adventures...something between Huckleberry Finn, and John Carter On Mars, and Thunderball...as opposed to women / girls having adventures...as in The Wizard Of Oz, or The Lives And Loves Of A She Devil. It is a cataloging aid which helps readers more quickly sort through what they do / don't want. If this offends you, don't get near online dating sites, or porn sites. Do not even consider going to a religious site other than one run by your particular faith. Even than can be pretty offensive, at times, though.

BTW - Where in the genre heading "Men's Adventure Fiction" are genitalia mentioned? "The lady doth protest too much, me thinks." Maybe you just have genitals on the mind a lot, lately, eh? There is a cure for that. Find a lover. Not online, though, as what you find online is sure to offend you. Granted; Men's Adventure Fiction often does have a bit of sex in it, but the sex is secondary, as a rule....Even in The Man From O.R.G.Y. Not ALL Men's Adventure Fiction involves sex. The older classics either dispense with the sex altogether, or allude to it briefly without detailing it much. Dracula had a strong sexual backdrop, but it was quite subtle. There is not a lot of sex in most of the classic stuff. There IS a lot of sex in some of the 'Women's Adventure Fiction'...those 'Bodice Ripper' Romances. Do they offend you, too? Is it sex that bothers you so much, or just men enjoying sex that is so upsetting to you? Perhaps that is your problem.

I took the OP's comment about being offended as a joke, like sarcasm. It's so hard to tell in texted based communication.

What on earth does a book category have to do with genitalia? That's one of the weirdest posts I've read in awhile.

"Sorting books by sex"
OK, I'm going to make a collection for books that have sex in them. Then another collection for books without any sex. Then delete those books. :-)
