Ooh, ooh, get a job volunteering to read audio books for the sight-impaired.

Either one, or both, if you like. Let us know what they say, or not.

Being a tightwad has a price, deal with it. I use TTS (female voice) quite a bit. Yes it has some quirks but like you, I don't want to spend the extra bucks to get the audio version so I deal with it.

In reply to an earlier post on Aug 5, 2013 9:25:40 AM PDT
Seriously, good for you. You might want give some thought to your misuse of the "R" word, but do let us know how it goes when you actually carry out your plan.

Cassie Anne says:
Depending on the book, you might be able to purchase an audio book for a greatly reduced price when you buy the Kindle book. You may also be able to borrow audio books from your public library.

Why are you asking customers these questions?

Just Peachy says:
My GPS pronounces the name of a nearby road in two different ways, both are wrong. On the interstate it does one pronunciation when it tells me to exit. Then at the end of the ramp it changes the pronunciation.

Cassie Anne says:
You need to go on the GPS forums (I'm sure there are some) and start shrieking about how lousy it it and how you've been ripped off. Gouged, too.

In reply to an earlier post on Aug 5, 2013 10:33:19 AM PDT
Just Peachy says:
Really? I just roll my eyes, snicker and talk back to the GPS.
If my GPS starts gouging me, I'm going to throw it away.

In reply to an earlier post on Aug 5, 2013 10:35:26 AM PDT
No, no. That's what it wants: To escape! What you do is roll down the window, hang it out over the road by the cord, then roll up the window.

It'll scream, "RECALCULATE! PLEASE RECALCULATE!"

Just Peachy says:
One time my son kept going around cul-de-sacs in a subdivision just to see how many times it would say "RECALCULATING". I was expecting it to say "STOP IT! STOP the @$#$# car!"
