Ignore them. They will eventually fall to the next pages in Manage Your Kindle. If you delete them, they will just come back.

Yes, it's a terrible tragedy, especially since they'll just come back. Fortunately, you also have the option of leaving them right there since they aren't hurting you in any way, shape or form.

OKAY...I give up! thanks all for your feedback Maybe the powers that be at Amazon will read these comments and do something about it one day!

They're not going to do anything about what they consider to be a really nice feature.

I'm sure they will do something about it in the future. The problem for you is that what they will do is to continue to add languages, so will add more dictionaries and users' guides.

they did just add Canadian English and Canadian French

~snort~ Awesome. I'm betting that mm has never watched Korean soap operas, just because it's fun to imagine what they're saying.

Remember watching the original Iron Chef with the English voice overs? Those were funny.

Classic, yes. Loved those.

I wish I could delete the apps that came on my Kindle because I do not want them, have no use for them, and they take up space. Annoying, but nothing we can do about it. Have been wanting to complain about it to Amazon for awhile. Maybe if a big enough group voices this complaint they will fix it...

Maybe. Because you're the first person to ever post whining about this. Yep, this forum has never seen this particular whine before. Congratulations.

I don't like the clutter. I'd rather just see items I have and items I want

CBRetriever says:
you can do that - just delete them whenever they show up

or else permanently keep wifi off on your kindle so it won't update (that's what triggers the dumping)

I can't remember when I last saw mine - I'd have to go down a bunch of pages on my Manage Your Kindle listings to find even the latest two

On "Manage Your Kindle" page, filter the "View" drop down (top left) and change it from "All Items" to "Books" and they will not show.

I agree with Marianne, I don't like the clutter and the list keeps growing and growing.

Where are you seeing them? I don't see them unless on MYK and I choose "Dictionaries and User guides"

All the complaints have finally been addressed, and now the foreign language dictionaries and user guides are no longer deletable. WTG, d'Amazon!

In reply to an earlier post on May 9, 2014 2:47:47 PM PDT
CBRetriever says:
ah, but you can now switch your View to Books instead of All Items and you won't see them (happened at the same time the dictionaries became permanent)
