C. Braverman says:
I have purchased a book on Kindle that is suppose to have a serial number to unlock a website linked to the book for more information. Where is the book serial number (Not the Kindle number, but the book on the Kindle)?

What is the book? Did you check the table of contents, or the book's product page for info?

Did you email the website for help?

C. Braverman says:
I have emailed the website twice with no response. No phone liseted.

Where did you purchase the book from?

C. Braverman says:
Purchased the book through Amazon/Kindle. I tried using the only number I have found with the book, the order number. That did not work.

Looking to see if I can find out more, but in the meantime here is an article from someone who thinks that the website is less than it should be. I'll try to find out more and post - if I can.

I think you'll need to find some way to get in touch with the author about this. Perhaps he neglected to include the serial number for the website in the Kindle edition of the book.

I'm sorry, but I can't find anything out about the book and missing serial number. Wish that I could help.

It helps a lot to have that information, you know. Looking at the reviews from there, and the blog entry that Saintly posted, these two pieces of info should help:
"Unlike the other editions of this book, this edition's guides to the individual festivals is only available online -- using the serial number printed in the book. If someone else has used your serial number, you will not be able to access the most valuable information the book has to offer."
"But as for the directory and lists of festivals, in the back of the book is a note pointing you to a website, where it says all the festival information is now online."

So, it would appear that the serial number is in the back of the book, but that if (by some horrible mischance) the kindle edition hasn't been set up properly to include a different serial number with each download, it'd be useless.

All the same, have you looked in the back of the book?

I've bought a few books that had premium content associated with them, via a similar mechanism. In every case the content was NOT available to Kindle users, which was not much of a bargain.

Hope this works out for you. Remember to return the book within the 7 day return window, if it's not what you paid for!
