Try performing a hard reset on your Kindle Fire. Unplug the Fire from all power sources and then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds (count them slowly) and then release. Ignore any shutdown messages. After the device has completely turned off, press the power button to restart your Kindle Fire.

For Fire HD2 and Fire HDX:
Make sure it has at least a 50% charge. Leave it plugged in.
Hold the power button for a full 20 seconds disregarding any 'Power Off' notices.
Stop pressing the power button.
The flickering "kindle fire" logo should appear and it will turn back on.

If that does not help, Use the large orange Contact Us button to the right to contact Amazon Kindle CS and talk with them about it - use the live chat or the call back feature if you can, not email. If you can't see a Contact Us button on this page, then go to https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/kindle-help.html and contact CS. Use Live Chat or the Call Me Back feature and NOT email, as they will have your account details available to them immediately when you talk with them.

You need to contact customer service so they can troubleshoot with you, and then tell you what your options are.

Click on the blue Help link at the top of this page, then on the yellow Contact Us button on the right side of that page. Choose the phone or chat option, not e-mail.

CBRetriever says:
you may have accidentally turned on accessibility functions - to turn them off, you'll need to use the following substitutions:

for a finger slide, use a two fingers spread slightly apart slide
for a single tap, use a double tap

I purchased a Kindle book to read on my tablet. The text doesn't fit on my screen.
