My Kindle 2 just died on me and I'm looking to replace it. I really don't want a touch screen, but I want 3G so I guess I'm going to have to suck it up and get a Paperwhite.

Anyway, does the touchscreen on these work through thick plastic like that of a Drypak bag?

It works in a ziplock bag. I don't know how much thicker a Drypak bag is.

Thank-you. I would think that if it works through the ziplock it will probably work through the Drypak. I guess I can always try it out and return it if it doesn't work?

If you buy it from Amazon you can return it within 30 days for a full refund.

Or you could take yourself and a Drypak bag along to the nearest store that sells kindles and try it out.

There is a waterproof case specifically designed for the Paperwhite:
