I purchased a kindle fire and my husband has an old kindle. i would like to delete his books from my new kindle but leave them on his old one. help!!! how do i do this without completely deleting the item. I only want my books on my kindle and his on

AA - They aren't on your Fire, they are just in the Cloud unless you downloaded them. If you never want to share books then you'll need to register to another account to never see each other's books.

on your fire they are not really there UNLESS you tapped to d/l to the device. They are in the cloud. To take them off the carousel hard press on the book cover a popup appears choose "remove from Carousel" ...

AA - Did you download them? If so, long press on them and select Remove from Device. However, first go to the Books tab and then the Device tab. Those are the only books you've downloaded and that are actually on your Fire.

If you were to delete them from the Cloud (via Manage Your Kindle), you could never access those books again. It would be like you never bought the books.
