There is a very handy little link at the bottom right of each post - "Ignore this customer". I'm using it to block a certain customer.
Just sayin.'

Will that make us then not see the thread that might be created?

Posted on Apr 9, 2010 12:53:06 PM PDT
quilt lover says:
If the person you are ignoring creates the thread you will get a message "You are ignoring the person who created this thread" (or something like that) and it will appear in the list of other discussions. You can still click on it to see it.

I'd like an ignore/hide this thread button - sometimes it's just the subject and not the person.

quiltlvr what did you do to get a tagger troll?

Bingo. or rather , you're getting warmer .., I love the Kindle discusions. I don't come here here for "The iPad Is So Great" discussions. It seems that the annoying threads are all started by the same person.

There are two or three. And most are deathly afraid of the ignore button. And they are mostly saviors, martyrs or victims of some sort. And they spend every waking hour posting.

Yes, mediahound was (is) getting tedious -- maybe they found their true life's work and are selling iPads at Best Buy. The thing that always makes me laugh is when the original poster gets so many NO "Do you think this post adds to the discussion" when they are the ones who started the discussion.

Pegi says:
I feel so much happier now that I have blocked Mediahound. Powerful, in fact.
And at peace with myself.
Think I'll go read my Kindle..

Back in the day we called it "plonking" - adding a user to our killfile so they wouldn't appear in message threads.

How about an "ignore annoying, excessively-happy, wannabeinyourlapallthetimeplease, puppy" button? But he's so dang cute.

Yours made me laugh Patti.

Any one who starts an Ipad discussion gets put on "ignore". Works great!! I really don't care if they have anything else to say, all of those discussions have no interest for me. I know three people who have purchased one and returned them. They didn't buy them for reading but don't like many things about them: hard to type on, cost of the connection, cost of the apps, and they find many of the promised features were over rated. Their ages are 19 to 32, the target purchasers, but it didn't make it for them. But I'm glad for those who like them and wish everyone happy reading.

Oh, that's a good idea Brain Wave! Off to go add a few more annoying people to ignore (and figuring a few will add me as a result of this post, ROFL)

Edited...that was nice.
I am now clicking ignore for anyone who:
1) starts any thread about Ipads. Period.
2) Starts any thread to bitch about any genre of free books
3) starts any additional thread to complain about prices.
4) starts any thread with the word boycott in the title. (HA. Guess I'm boycotting their posts...)

This should make it faster to scroll through the forums. ;)
