All 67 cameras on the Fire HD face inward.

You can put up to 144 SD cards into the Fire HD.

I have one. I thought there was one on the Fire. Not being sassy, just wondering.

One of the new Fires has a rear facing camera. But, originally it was put there for Skyping.

I got the Kindle as a gift and was told it has a camera. Now I understand.

Well, it *does*. But not the way you might have thought.

And honestly? I've taken a solemn vow to put a brick through the next tablet that blocks my view with someone taking a photo with it.

The truth is that most tablets camera is not worth the couple bucks that the manufacturer spent on the thing. From the awkward act of trying to take a picture with a large tablet with rear facing camera, through the substandard lens and focal length, to the relatively poor investment most companies have made in the accompanying software, the average cell phone is likely to be better quality and potentially less awkward to use for photos.

To answer your question directly:
- No SD Card. (Amazon wants you using their site and services to buy and stream music, videos, games, apps, etc, which is why the tablet is so cheap, why provide an SD card slot?)
- ONLY the HDX 8.9 has a rear facing camera.
