streamed video disappeared?

Kindle Fire HD -

Has the Kindle/Netflix streamed version of "Orange is the New Black" been discontinued, or has it expired? My wife and I watched the first 3 segments (out of 6 segments?) of this but last night when I tried to bring up the series I get the "page now found" error message.

Is this a Netflix issue? Kindle issue? Anyone have similar experience with video streamed to the Kindle Fire HD?

Clarification - Even though the Kindle is connected to WiFi with 4 good bands (excellent connection strength) showing, all I get on the Kindle is "page not found". On the laptop computer (same WiFi network) I get the "Orange is the...." page immediately, with the option to watch the next episode.

I can get the Netflix movies page on the Kindle, just not the page for viewing the streamed version of "Orange....." etc.

Have you done a hard reset of your Kindle?

Ensure Kindle is fully charged and remove charging cable. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds (time it). Press the power button one more time. Wait for the home screen to fully load.

This often resolves unexplained issues.

Sounds like it's not available on/to NetFlix.

I see all 13 episodes on my KFHD. Tried the last one and it streamed fine. Do you have the most recent Netflix app? Is your subscription current? Just some thoughts.

I have the Netflix app on my KFHD, but I don't think there's a way to check version or to force updating. Our subscription to Netflix is current - and anyway, if it had lapsed, why would I be able to access the streamed video on the laptop but not on the KFHD?

Vickie - I really thought that would resolve the problem, but it had no effect. The video is obviously available on Netflix, since it could be played on the laptop computer. Our subscription is obviously current too, or I wouldn't be able to play the vid on the laptop. I guess the problem must be within my individual KFHD. I'll try to contact CS tomorrow, Monday. - Bill

It may very well be that your Netflix app is out of date.

Managing apps and settings
You can manually update or view all of your apps from the Apps library.

Update your apps.
From Apps, tap Store, and then tap the Menu icon.
Select App Updates.
You can either update one app by tapping Update, or, if you want to update all apps with a pending update, select Update All.

View all your apps.
Tap Apps from the Home screen and choose the Device tab to see all apps that have been downloaded to your Kindle Fire.
The Cloud tab will display all apps that have been previously purchased and are available on your Kindle Fire.

That seems to have done the trick! Netflix wasn't on the list of apps to be updated. I updated the few which I wanted to update, then clicked on the Netflix icon in the Kindle App Store. To my surprise and delight, an orange bar slowly crawled across the area just below the icon. Now I can access my video again. Thanks very much for pointing this out to me.
