Bufo Calvin says:
N.W., you contact the store (in your case, Best Buy). They will have their own return policies, and they may or may not be the same as if you bought it from Amazon.

You will have to talk to the store about that. Amazon will honour the warranty but the warranty does NOT cover refunding your money that you paid to a store.

Mike says:
You probably need to ask Best Buy and/or Amazon. But, I don't think it likely that you can. But, maybe a visit to BB will surprise you.

I'm pretty sure it's too late to get a refund from Best Buy. If the third one of the same model has the same problem, odds are it's a user error, and not a manufacturer's defect, which is all that's covered by Amazon.

N.W. says:
It is absolutely not "user error." I am reading now of plenty of people who are having the same issue with the device crashing.

Just Peachy says:
If you describe the problem, someone on this forum might be able to help you.
Just because plenty of people are having the problem doesn't rule out "user error".

I said "if," and "odds are," and I stand by what I said. Three devices of the same variety having the identical problem for one user and not for millions of others are unlikely in the extreme to be a manufacturer's defect.

You're welcome.

N.W. says:
I did describe the issue and many other people are having the same problem. And if kindle support admits it's a defect on the kindle fire, I have to think I'm not doing something wrong.

Then what you have is a negotiation with Customer Service. The other customers (for so they are) on this forum really can't help you.

To get the best deal on returns, and refunds, buy direct from Amazon. I always do, and I never have a problem. When you go through a third party-Best Buy, etc-you have to deal with that party, and they may, or may not, treat you as well as Amazon does.
