Why is it that people feel the need to share such useless garbage? Hop on board our graffitied subway train with some daft repellant and find out.

Are you all ready
Are you ready get set
Are you ready get set
Are you ready?

Are you all ready
Are you ready get set
Are you ready get set, let's go

Does your hair look right?
Is your fly done up?
Have you popped your pimples?
Have you got your coat?
And some lippy on?
Just keep it simple
Are you all cashed up?
I can lend you some?
Well I'd be glad to
Have you had a think
And a warm up drink
Now! Now! Now! Now!

Are you all ready
Are you ready get set
Are you ready get set
Are you ready?

Are you all ready
Are you ready get set
Are you ready get set, let's go

Is the cat put out?
Is the iron off?
We don't wanna come home to a fire
Have you trimmed your beard?
Are your sandals shined?
Do you look a hipster messiah?
Have you got your keys?
Have you got ID?
Did you bring a comb for Gary?
Have you had a think
And a warm up drink?
Now! Now! Now! Now!

Are you all ready
Are you ready get set
Are you ready get set
Are you ready?

Are you all ready
Are you ready get set
Are you ready get set, let's go

Leave your book
And leave the mirror
Cause you're already stunning
The sky above
Was never clearer
And the engine's running
So cast aside
Your novelty ties
And bury your vendettas
Life is short
But tonight your ass is mine!
Mine! Mine! Mine!

Are you all ready
Are you ready get set
Are you ready get set
Are you ready?

Are you all ready
Are you ready get set
Are you ready get set, let's go

Leave your book
And leave the mirror
Cause you're already stunning
The sky above
Was never clearer
And the engine's running
Well the end is nigh and
There's not much time
So get things rolling
Life is pain
But we're okay
Now! Now! Now! Now!
Now! Now! Now! Now!

Lots of memories from the original thread. Some good, some bad, mostly useless garbage that entertained, bemused or befuddled.

So, with this new thread, let's hope for more good than bad and a continuation of "refuse without purpose" with some of the nicest people on the 'Zon. ~smile~

Okay... everyone have a glass or ten of this bubbly virtual champagne I'm pouring you all into these crystal goblets...... hick. Woops. I guess I started already.

I'll have a glass of that virtual champagne. Hmm. Virtual champagne is good!

KindleFan says:
I don't drink, so I would probably be tipsy from a single glass of champagne.
I had outpatient surgery a few weeks ago and the anesthiologist told my family afterwards that I was a "cheap drunk".
I guess it didn't take much to knock me out. ~ha,ha~

Everyone have some of these yummy virtual treats, too. No calories, fat, sugar or anything. And so yummy. And make sure that the fireworks don't come down your house.

I haven't participated, but I wholly support the idea of the thread (boy howdy, do I!), and I think it's kewl that you all had enough posts to start Vol. 2.

And now for a public announcement: Did everyone remember to change their clocks today? I don't know if it applies to all parts of the country (USA) but on the west coast we fell back this morning by one hour. So it was dark outside by 3:30 pm. Makes me feel like I should be sleepy now but I'm not.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 6, 2011 7:15:49 PM PST
I like it because it will be light when I wake up and, therefore, much easier to get up to go to work. I've never been a fan of Daylight Savings Time anyway. :(

V. Strickler says:
I think that they should fall back 1/2 hour and forget it. No more changes each fall and spring. It seems like such a simple solution. Why hasn't anyone in government ever thought of it? Oh wait. I know why. Never mind. ;-)

And those ridiculous RAoK folk roll over a thread every five or six days.

I like the moseying and the meandering along approach better.

Me too. That's why I don't post on the OMG thread much. It just goes way too fast for me. So does Al's Place. The Useless Garbage thread is a little slow, but that's how I like it. No double entendre intended.

I can't believe you all started the party without me!

I guess that is what I get for having Sunday dinner and a movie with the boy. Tonight's movie selection was "The Three Muskateers" with Kiefer Sutherland, Oliver Platt, Charlie Sheen and Chris O'Donnell. Dinner was the boy's choice tonight - so prime rib, mashed potatoes and gravy and corn, with peach crisp for dessert.

I guess that is what I get for having to start chapter 2 of this thread. ;-)

Your dinner sounds yummy. I don't think I've ever seen "The Three Muskateers" to which you refer. I'll have to NetFlix it and see if it is available via streaming. I like Oliver Platt.

It's been obvious to me for months that most of the action at Al's takes place somewhere else. (They shouldn't have had me start doing the daily recaps). I'm pretty close to just ignoring that thread. None of them visit our pile of Useless Garbage so I'm probably OK posting that here.

I can't leave my OMG peeps. (Not that I'd ever want to!) I think they might physically hunt me down and force my return. And then I'd get to play tour guide; "DC from a Native's Point of View--or Stand to the Right you Idiots!".

It's sad but I rarely do any of the touristy things except when out of town folk visit.
