I bought a case for my Kindle hdx 8.9. The case has an opening for the camera in the back and all the buttons as well. However when I try to use the camera the screen displays directions on moving the kindle up to use the rear camera. The rear camera is already usable but the directions continue to flash. I can even take a picture but the directions are blocking the view when I do. The directions are not in the resulting photo. I would like to turn this little notification off. Is that possible?

If you have a Poetic case, the HDX sees it as an origami case that needs to be pushed up to use the camera. There is no way to disable the message except by removing the magnets in the case, but then you also disable the sleep _ wake function. I saw a post that Amazon was working on a fix, but for now, I am just ignoring it.

Okay thanks for the reply I did a bit of research and got pretty much the same answer as you just gave me. :-( It still takes pictures but it's a bit annoying. I don't use the camera that much though.
Thank you again
