I've never owned a Kindle, but pre-ordered 3 of the Fires. Is there a (legal) way to share downloaded games between them if they're all registered to my Amazon acct? I've browsed the discussions and they only address sharing of books, not games, etc. Thanks!

I'm not sure about for Android apps from the app store. I think they can be downloaded to more than one device, but someone who actually has an Android device would know for sure.

For the Kindle active content games, I'm not even sure they will work on the Fire. They were designed specifically for the Kindle e-Ink devices, but it's possible they will be updated to also work on the Fire. If that is true, then they can be downloaded to each device from your Kindle Archive.

A., to share Android apps on your Kindle account go to

http://www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle

You'll see a link on your left side that under Digital Content that says

Manage your apps

At this point, I don't have the choice there to send apps to a device (that would be under Actions), but I also only have one Android device on my account right now (and it already has all the apps I've gotten from the Amazon Appstore on it). When I get my Fire, my guess is that I will then have a choice.

I have downloaded a LOT of apps from the Amazon APPstore to my phone, I also have a Toshiba Thrive android tablet. All the apps that I have ever "purchased" (mostly for free!) and downloaded to the phone show up in MY APPS on both the phone and the tablet. I can then pick and choose what to also download to the Thrive. I have downloaded many of the same apps to the Thrive.

This I have always done from the Thrive itself - not from Amazon on my PC. I just went and double-checked:) Under actions it only gives me 2 choices - review the App or see the order details. On the Thrive I just open Amazon Appstore and click on myapps - they ALL show up with the option to download and install.

In "MANAGE MY KINDLE" I can see where I can send the games/active content to my other 2 Kindles (my daughters - which I have done) but my 4th Kindle (my Fire) is grayed out - cant send it there. On my Kindle for Android app on the Thrive I tested it once for one of the games - it did download, but was not playable on the thrive. I cant remember what game that was, or what about it did not work.

Has anyone just lost a app that was working great on your kindle, then just disappeared from the store and your kindle. When I looked it up online it said that I could not have in because of geological restrictions. The kindle help people were useless and kept me on my phone for 45 min.sent me all over the world then back again. Now I got somewhere on line and the app was there but it would not send it to me on my 4th kindle which it was on and working before. h

Where are you located? and what App is it? Sounds like there may be an issue with...well Geological restrictions, like it said online.
