Kindle died and I don't know why??

My Kindle just died completely. I have an older one (no touch screen) and I was using it without any problems. Then, a couple of hours later, I tried to slide the button to turn it on and it doesn't do anything. I plugged it in and the light doesn't even come on.

Has this happened to anyone else before? If so, is there anyway to fix it? I was almost done reading a 900 page book, ugh.

I am certain this happened before - machines break. I suggest that you contact CS ("Help" at the top of the page, then "Contact Us" - have them call you) - it they are not able to "resurrect" your device, they will probably have a good offer on refurbished replacement.

In the meantime, finish your book on a computer or other device using http://read.amazon.com or http://amazon.com/kindleapps
