J. Kirkham says:
Is there a way to see how many more books are waiting to be indexed?
I added a lot of books to a new Paperwhite and the battery continues to drain quickly... Without wifi and without reading.
I can only imagine it must still be indexing.
Appreciate any feedback.

J. Kirkham - That will drain the battery. Search for a nonsense word like zxcvbnm. The search may take awhile. If you find that a book is stuck, delete it and download it again.

If you have a Paperwhite 2 - you have to change your search parameter from "My Items" to "All Text". There is a dropdown for the choice.

Do a search for a nonsense word (e.g. "zzyux") on the Home page. If you have a Paperwhite 2, change your search parameter from "My Items" to "All Text".

That should tell you if there are items still indexing.

Thank you, so much!
It does not seem to have indexed any books, yet.
How can I tell which book it is stuck on?

Pineapple and Ann..... You rock!

You're welcome. Just delete the first one and see if that starts them indexing.

I deleted the first three... Number not indexed is still unchanged.... Except for the deletions.
Tried turning it off and back on with no change.
Considering deleting all and starting from scratch.

That may be a good idea. When you start downloading them again, just do a few at a time to let them finish indexing before you download the next batch.

 Ann says:
You might try a reboot first: Make sure the Kindle is charged, unplug it, press and hold the power button in for a full 30 seconds (time it), then release and leave it alone for a few minutes while it restarts. After that, plug it in and let it sit for a while, then see if there's any change.

Edit: Or what Pineapple said. ;-)

Thank you, Ann. Am rebooting.
If this doesn't work, I will remove content and take it slower on adding the content back.

Really appreciate the assistance.
Take care!
