Share Newspaper Wirelessly?

I haven't seen any recent discussions on this topic, so thought I would bring it up again.

Is there any way to share a newspaper subscription wirelessly with 2 kindles registered under the same account? Under a newspaper subscription, there is an option to resend past editions and I thought that would send the edition to whichever kindle was associated with the subscription... then I thought I could change the kindle associated to the subscription, resend, and then have it on the second kindle.. but it doesn't seem to work that way.

Does anyone have any thoughts or insight?

thanks in advance,
Bill

Unlike books, newspapers and magazines (and I think blogs) can't be shared, even with other devices registered to the same account.

I know that I can download the editions to my computer and then transfer it via USB, but that is a pain.... I was hoping the "send wirelessly to kindle" functionality would do the trick. ...

I don't think you can do that - if you change the Kindle associated with a subscription, I think the change becomes effective with the next edition.

Such a ridiculous limitation...

I'd bet that the limitation comes from the newspaper publishers...

I've changed my subscriptions through 3 kindles, none of them ever got on more than one kindle.

It is my understanding from prior posts that this is a limitation set by the publisher.

If you have the ability to download the edition to your computer and then transfer it to either Kindle, it doesn't make much sense to restrict the sending of it wirelessly.... oh well.... maybe the publishers will allow it when the Kindle gets a backlight :-)

You cannot copy anything downloaded for one Kindle to a different Kindle - the DRM encrypts it to a single device.

I would even be willing to pay a few dollars extra to be able to share the newspaper on our 2 kindles, but it is unreasonable to have 2 separate subscriptions on one credit card. I have complained directly to Amazon about this. Maybe we should just keep complaining to them.

Perhaps you didn't notice that you woke up and replied to a thread that is...
NEARLY FOUR YEARS OLD!!!

Do you have a newspaper subscription on one device? Just open the other device's Archive/Cloud and manually download today's issue. Perhaps there are some papers that block this, but the newspapers and magazines I subscribe to allow me to have it delivered automatically to an eink device and manually to a Fire and vice versa.
