Sending web content to Kindle is now easier than ever.

We are excited to announce "Send to Kindle for Mozilla Firefox," adding another convenient way to send content from the web to Kindle. Add the Send to Kindle button to your Mozilla Firefox browser to quickly send news articles, blog posts, and other web content to your Kindle to read anytime, everywhere on Kindle devices and reading apps. Send to Kindle for Mozilla Firefox makes web articles easier to read-we send just the content you want and not the distractions.

You can send content to one or more Kindle devices and Kindle reading apps or you can simply archive it in your Kindle library for re-download later. With Whispersync, your last page read along with bookmarks, notes and highlights are automatically synchronized across your Kindle devices and Kindle reading apps (with the exception of PDFs).

"Send to Kindle for Mozilla Firefox" is available for free download at http://www.amazon.com/sendtokindle/firefox. Support for Google Chrome is available. Support for Apple Safari is coming soon.

Just tried it and it worked great (e-ink screen). Took me a minute to figure out that I had to go to the "Settings" button first to tell it which Kindle(s) to send it to, but after that was a breeze. Thanks!

Thanks. Very useful. Now how about working out whatever differences you and Mozilla.org have regarding Firefox so it will run on my Fire? : )

Sounds awesome and much needed too. I was planning on having to use a more complicated system when I started doing something similar so I am very excited about this feature. Thanks!

I've been trying to send but its not sending. Mac, Firefox 16.0.2, to a touch and android. I get the sending window with the spinning indicator but nothing ever arrives and the indicator never stops spinning.

I had my first chance to really try this out tonight, but it's not working for me either: PC, Firefox 16.0.2. Same experience as Buffy above. I get the "Analyzing Website" screen, then the "Loading Preview" screen, but after that nothing happens--just the infinite spinning. If I click the "Send" button, Firefox just hangs up.

My problem is that whenever I hit the spacebar or the 'enter' key on a page, the addon analyzes and sends the contents of the page to my Kindle. The hot keys are supposed to be alt+p and alt+k, but those don't even work. If I type a URL into the location bar and hit 'enter', the page goes my Kindle. In Firefox, the spacebar lets you page up and down, so imagine how many times the page could be sent by this addon just reading a webpage. The problem is more than just filling up my Kindle with unwanted web pages. There is also a huge privacy issue at stake. Suppose I'm checking my bank statements online or reading a personal email and the addon decides to randomly send the page through Amazon's servers and onto my Kindle. Not cool.

I'm using it in Firefox 16.0.2 under Linux.

I have the same problem. I send and all I get is the infinite spinning with no transfer. Works on Chrome browser just fine, but not with Firefox over several machines. Guess they should go back to the drawing boards.

I've downloaded the FireFox addon and it is working perfectly. This is very convenient for me to catch up my daily news and blog reading off line on my Kindle Keyboard.

Thanks!

Glad you got it to work. Even tried it on Mac Firefox with no luck also tried it on a different Kindle with no luck.

Has anyone experienced problems with the "Tab" key logging into websites once STK is installed. I have STK installed and, whenever I hit the tab key while trying to log-in to my online email service, the current page gets set to my Kindle.

Using FireFox 17.0.1

Is there a charge for sending documents using this service?

Korlithiel says:
Lee, it is the same charge as sending documents in for conversion normally. So if you send via 3G, yes.

I just "send it" so i don't know if it's going via wi-fi or Whispernet. That is my problem.

(To those with the "Spinning Circle")

Try this...
Firefox -> Options -> Privacy
Is "Accept third-party cookies" checked?
If not... Click Exceptions, Type "amazon.com" and click "Allow. Click "Close", Click "OK"
If it is... I'm not sure... sorry.

Hello,

My Sned to Kindle button in Firefox stopped working today... I'm getting this error: "
We're sorry.

We could not find extracted content matching this request. Extracted content is stored on your computer for 30 days and will be removed after this period."

What can I do to solve it? I already reinstall it with, but it didn't work either.
