I thought we were getting a free book on a monthly basis with our Prime Membership. It also asked if we wanted to be reminded and have an email sent. I have seen no email and I can't even find the subject on the website. What gives?

there are 2 options - there is the KOLL (kindle owners lending library - you HAVE TO HAVE an actual kindle) or the kindle first

KOLL - you borrow books via your device - you get 1 a month
Kindle First - 4 books are offered a month prior to release, you can pick one for free

Are you talking about Kindle First?

Or the KOLL?

tough to find? scroll up ...... see in the upper right where it says Hello, Patricia Your Account .... look next to that it says Your Prime ... hover your mouse there and when the pop up window appears down on the bottom it says Manage Prime Membership .... click there .... and there are all the perks/benefits of being a Prime Member.

I do not think there is an email regarding a reminder for the Kindle Owner's Lending Library but there is one for the Kindle First books which is a totally separate perk/benefit.

flipoid says:
If you're talking about Kindle First, in the "Shop by Department" menu, select the "Kindle E-Readers and Books" option, then tap on the "Kindle Books" choice. That'll take you to the main Kindle e-book page, and on the left side in the links listed, there is a Kindle First choice.

Yes, Kindle First. When I got the first email, it said it would send me and update every month so I could choose my free book. This has never happened. I did just find where to go anf find the "Manager's Picks". and I said I could again sign up for a notice through email, but I can't find where the signup section is.

I went Amazon.com >> kindle books >> on the left side there is a list of links found Kindle First >>> clicked and got to here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/digital/kindle/botm/ref=amb_link_398498782_19?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-leftnav&pf_rd_r=0VY0GDM005HTJTR80P8T&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1868227322&pf_rd_i=154606011

Edit: I found this under learn more about Kindle First (on the page linked above) Customers who have previously opted out of all Amazon e-mails will not receive the monthly e-mail announcing new Kindle First picks. If you would like to update your E-mail Preferences, you can do so by visiting Your Account.
