What kind of Internet service do you have now? If you already have wired high speed Internet access in your home, you can just add a wireless router. Your ISP might even provide and install one for you.

They might. Some DSL providers offer a router for free; some offer to rent it to you via a monthly fee. If yours does the "monthly fee" thing, consider buying your own router.
