Loz says:
If the book has lending enabled, then yes. But you can only lend each book once. Not sure what Facebook has to do with it.....

Facebook has nothing to do with sharing books.

Go to http://amazon.com/kindle-lending for information and instructions.

Details for lending:

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 18, 2013 3:29:35 PM PST
You don't. It's up to the publishers. Read the information in the link I provided.

Loz says:
It's up to the publisher. Check the product page of the book you want to lend and it will tell you.

If you want to share books with someone without consideration of what books are lendable (the majority of the big publishers don't permit it), switch kindles with the person or share an account.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 18, 2013 3:33:23 PM PST
Whoever told you that was wrong. Facebook and Amazon are not connected, and Facebook has absolutely zero to do with loaning Kindle books.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 18, 2013 3:34:40 PM PST
No, by going to Facebook, you can let others know what you're reading.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 18, 2013 3:34:40 PM PST
They told you wrong. Again, read this: http://www.amazon.com/kindle-lending.

thanks to all of you who responded. have any of you tried to download a dvd file from pc to kindle fire and play it on the kindles fire
? i`m thinking of buying a kindle fire with g4 (?) connection, has anyone tried the offer of internet that comes with a new one?

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 18, 2013 3:39:28 PM PST
KessaJo says:
There might be some lending pages on FB, but you can lend any eBook that is lendable (one time only per eBook that is lendable) without using FB.

Just go to the product page & if it is lendable, it will tell you. You can lend right from the product page - you put in that person's email address - their normal one, not their Kindle e-addie.

can you download a dvd file from pc to kindle fire and play it?

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 18, 2013 3:48:42 PM PST
If it's one of the formats the Fire can read AND it doesn't have DRM.

A. Dietz says:
You can't just copy a movie from a DVD to your Kindle, it won't work. You need to get a program to convert it to MP4 format first.

I have made hundreds of quilts. Bed quilts, baby quilts, wall hangings, traditional, modern, artsy, pieced, appliqued, whole cloth. My favorites are Civil War and 30's reproductions and whole cloth.

quilt lover says:
Thomas, the facebook sharing is an automatic post (if you agreed to it) to share what you thought of a book, like a mini review, with your FB friends.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 19, 2013 2:25:45 PM PST
do you sell quilts? made to order? a betty boop quilt would be awsome
