They have a section for open orders for physical books and other items that have not yet been shipped, but I can't find where my pre-ordered Kindle orders are. I'd rather know what's coming and not be surprised with new books suddenly appearing on my Kindle. Can anyone help?

Go to the "Your Account" Drop down towards the righthand side of the Amazon Main Screen. You will see your Account and an Orders box giving you choices to check your open orders.

Go to the Manage Your Kindle page at On the left, click on Pending Deliveries. Scroll down towards the bottom of the screen to find a list of your pre-orders. Unfortunately only the last 15 pre-orders that you have placed will be displayed.

Claudia - Go to and click on Pending Deliveries on the left side of that screen. Your pre-orders are in there.

edited - for correct word

Open Orders does not show digital pre-orders. You can see the pre-orders when you click on Digital Orders but it's not obvious which ones are pre-orders. You can tell by the fact that they don't have an order total.

What kind of Kindle? Is it connected to the Internet? Is the e-book a pre-order? If so, it's not available for download yet and it hasn't been charged to your account yet.
