Yoon Lee says:
So far I like Kindle Fire. However, it is disappointing that I can't type Korean. Looks like there are several Korean IME/Keboard app in the Google Android Market.
Is there anyway, I can type Korean?

I hope that Kindle Fire software will soon be updated to allow different keyboard inputs and fix the sluggishness of the UI and Silk. Otherwise, just wait for custom ROMs.

If kindle fire can not use(write and read) the other language, there will be limited to use. See! Broken word I wrote. Amazon only can write English.

Actually you can install your preferred keyboard methods if you have a rooted Kindle Fire.

they don't have it for any of the kindles and they've only just released the basic kindle in 5 other languages with language specific virtual keyboards - doubt that arabic, korean, japanese, etc are gonna be released real soon (but hopefully for you, I'll be wrong)

And yet another one! Next thing someone will be wanting farsi or inuit or polish. They just managed to get the basic kindle out a few months ago in another language than english, give them time and maybe they'll be able do it.

Or go look and see if there's an app that will let you do it - I think someone in some thread said something about a chinese application.

Love my kindle fire. Please add Korean keyboard support. Thank you.

TuxGirl says:
Uh... I'm guessing it'll be a ling time. The fire doesn't support any other languages, and is clearly stated to be us only. Half the functionality doesn't even work outside the US, and the device has some very serious bugs they still need to fix. I highly doubt there will be additional languages added soon.

That said, all they would have to do would be to enable.external input methods, but yeah. If you are desperate enough to consider slamming the fire into the wall, why not root?

Thanks to C. Li,
this method works and it only takes you minutes to do it :)
