Do you have to have internet connection to go to the amazon store to get books, games, etc? Have the kindle fire for $150.00

Yes, a wifi connection is required.

You might be able to send media to a PC and then USB it over to the Fire, but I don't know how to do that.

D. M. Wiegand - You obviously have some kind of an internet connection because you are here posting on this forum.

You really need wi fi for the Kindle Fire to be of any use to you. If you have high speed internet at home, it's not hard to install a wireless router and it's a one time expense.

You can transfer some things to your Fire via usb. Read http://www.amazon.com/kindletransfer

Yes you can, but you still have to have an Internet connection to "go to the Amazon store."

That's true, if you're reading his question completely literally. But since he posted on this forum, I thought he might have access to an internet connection.
