Are you at your home wifi?

Try unplugging your router from the power for 30 seconds, then replug in and let it reset. Then try signing on with your Kindle wifi again

Thankks Coleen. Did what you said, still says connected, but unable to accesss web. The icon which shows the WIFI symbol has an x under it.

Ahah! That means that your device is finding your router signal, but your ROUTER is not able to connect to the internet! You have a router problem, not a Kindle problem.

But my IPAD, desk top and laptop are both able to connect.

Doc Dittie says:
Try telling the iPad to forget the network, then turn it off, not just asleep. Reset the router, then reboot the Kindle. Try again to connect it *before* you turn the iPad on again. If that doesn't resolve it, I'd contact Kindle CS to troubleshoot.

Jazzy_Jeff says:
How old is your router? Is the firmware up to date on it?

I'm on wait with Time Warner our provider. I did talk to Amazon CS and they said that it was TW's problem. The router is a Netgear and less than a year old. Thanks
