I just got a Paperwhite and have a serious question. About half the time when I tap for the next page the display flashes what looks like a negative, white text on black, for a split second. Is it defective? It doesn't cause a problem, it's just irritating.

If you want to read on an e-ink kindle you have to get used to it because that is how all e-ink screens refresh.

It doesn't do it every time. Maybe 1 every 6 or so pages.

Julian says:
That's because it is set to do that. You can change it to refresh every page of every 6 pages in the settings.

Just keep reading on it. You won't even notice the refresh after a little while.

OK, thanks. I guess it was mostly concern that it is broke that was irritating.

I played with the refresh a little and now I see how it works. I'll not give it another thought.

I really like McCracken. People who accept a little responsibility are so refreshing. Thanks, McCracken.

In no time at all, you won't even notice it!
