Make sure your new Fire is registered to the same Amazon account as your first Kindle. all your books will be available for downloading. They will not download automatically however.

we are all just customer peers.... not customer service

Also - the "title/topic" in this forum is a BRIEF title, with the real details usually contained in the text box.
but.... you probably won't be able to find these answers anyway.

Register the new HDX to your existing Amazon account, and it will have access to your e-books / etc in your Cloud Archive. You will have to download the items from your Cloud to your HDX one item at a time. It will not download itself automatically. Customer Service is at 1-866-321-8851. The HDX will also have the Mayday feature which puts you in touch with Customer Service at the touch of a button.

Yeah--I wonder what people who put their questions as the thread title do when they send emails--are their "Subject" lines three lines long?

Can we discuss WHY people "can't find the phone number", please? I don't understand.

How is it hard? Click on the Help link that is On.Every.Page. Then click "need more help?" and the "Contact Us" link that appears after you click "need more help." You'll need to sign in and fill out the reason you're contacting Amazon, but then you have the "Call Me" option.

Granted, it's harder since they took away the Contact Us button that used to appear on the first Help page, but if you follow the steps, it's pretty self-explanatory.

had not noticed this... but yeah, it's a little gaunlet to get there...

AND - you really can't call Amazon unless you use the general number,
but with the "Call Me" you need to have a DIRECT number...
which sometimes can be a problem with bad personal cell phone reception deep inside a building... or no easy way to get past a PBX/switchboard since Amazon is doing an auto-call.

...Enter your number and click Call Me.
(You'll need an open phone line.)
We'll call you and connect you to a customer service associate.
