Sample versus entire novel -- if sample is the novel?

I recently downloaded a sample of Repossessed -- it won some award or other at RWA. The sample shows every line basically double-spaced. I'm wondering if that means the whole book will be double spaced?

If someone has purchased it, can you look on your kindle for me?

I know that sometimes an old sample will hang around even after an author has uploaded an updated copy, so I'm thinking the double spacing may have been corrected a long time ago, but not in the sample (I think sometimes Amz does a sampling once and after that, it stays even after the book is uploaded again. I could be wrong or it could take a really long time.)

I would say yes, the book is probably just like the sample. You could purchase the book and if it's double spaced and you can't stand it you can return it.

This may be very basic, but I just want to make sure you knew this. Most of the devices and applications allow you to change the line spacing from the Aa (font) menu.

I don't think that works on samples and I'm not sure why I'm seeing it double-spaced. Nothing else is coming down that way. And I could be wrong because I've not bought a double-spaced book before, but I'm not sure if it is set that way, if it can be changed. I've done the whole change the font and whatnot with a book, but I can't do that with this sample. (You also can't highlight stuff with samples).

Not a big deal, but I thought I'd ask if someone had this particular book and could look at it for me. I can also probably write the author and ask.

The Look Inside is formatted weirdly, as well. It's like every . is followed by an indentation. That may indeed render strangely when it goes to Kindle.

Thanks. I may contact the author and ask about it.
