Kindle Keyboard "stuck", will not even reboot anymore!

I've had my Kindle Keyboard for 2 years now this past Christmas. It was working fine until about 6 months ago, when it began to not come out of "sleep" mode. I read through the Forum and found others who have had this issue, and they explained to how "hard reboot" the Kindle Keyboard. That has worked...up until a week ago. Now, nothing happens when I try this. Has anyone had this happen? Has your Kindle completely died? I still see the screen saver, with the "Slide and release the power switch to wake" alert at the bottom, but it will not power up to get to my books. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Even though it's out of warranty, they can help you troubleshoot, and let you know what your options are if a replacement is needed. I am also having this *exact* same problem. I've held the power button for as long as a minute and the most that I'm able to get out of the kindle is the orange light when I plug it in. Ack! I contacted Customer support to see what else can be done and was told that I would need to purchase a new Kindle (the Kindle Touch and not the Kindle keyboard) for $104 (I would have to pay the full price of $139 for the Kindle keyboard)! Suffice it to say, I'm pretty irritated right now...

I've had one freeze, it was really hard to get it to restart. After holding the power button a few minutes it finally started having an effect, and once booted I immediately had it reboot and haven't had issues since.

Mine is a Kindle Keyboard.
