I have two kindles under my Amazon prime account, I was wondering how If we could unshare our library! I don't want my thirteen year old reading the same books as I am!

Hi Becca - Depending on which Kindle your child has, you can set up parental controls to control what content they have access to, but in general, all kindles on one Amazon account will see all the content on that account. Also, please keep in mind that accounts cannot be split or divided, nor can books be transferred between accounts.

Both my girls (12 and 15 yrs old) have their own fires. I set them each up with their own amazon accounts. I've locked them out of purchasing anything, if it's free they can. I read adult/erotica so No WAY were they getting any access to my books. It's worked out great for a year now. They don't need or use any benefits of my prime account anyway.

I did this for my son, too, when I got tired of sifting through my MYK (since you can't sort books), looking for the titles I'd snagged for him. It works great. And when he's old enough, he can just take over the account.

Exactly, my 15 yr old can read whatever she wants really. There's not much she hasn't heard or seen going through middle school and now high school. Now she's wanting to borrow my books. She's set up her own bank account and now it's her ammy account.
