I have purchased my 8 yr old daughter a Kindle which has automatically been registered to my account. I also have another kindle which my wife uses which is also connected to my account. So I now have 2 kindles connected to my account.

However, I have set up parental controls on my daughters so she can't go and purchase books etc, however, she is able to to download previous purchases which are stored in the cloud. The first Kindle purchased which my wife uses has content such as the Fifty Shades of Grey which obviously I do not want me daughter to be able to download from the cloud.

So my question is, how do i prevent this ? Any help greatly appreciated.

Which Kindle did you get for your daughter?

If it is an eink kindle, just have it forget the wifi. When she wants a new book downloaded, type in the wifi password, download the book and then forget wifi again.

For the Kindle Fires, you might want to look at Freetime.

I don't know a lot about it but take a look at the Freetime App that came with the Fire.

The FreeTime app works great. First, download to the device everything you'd like her to be able to access.

Then go into FreeTime and create her profile. REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD! Add to the profile all those things you downloaded for her. The device will STAY in the FreeTime app, acting like a "skin" for her to use her apps, unless and until you exit the app (using the password that you're NOT GOING TO FORGET, right?).
