I was an early adopter and want my money back...ordered this the moment they announced it was coming out..I LOVE AMAZON...but very disappointed....my Fire arrived on Nov 15...when do I have to ship it back so that I can get something else?

Contact Amazon CS: http://www.amazon.com/kindlesupport

They'll be able to help you.

Bixillarla says:
Goto Your Account and then View Orders. Find the order with the Fire and click the return button. Follow the instructions and print out the return label and mail it back.

You can also call Customer Service if you want to handle it over the phone and they will email you a return label to print out.

If you ordered it on Nov 15th you better hurry you only have 30 days to send it back and that is in 2 days.

Call cs to get the return authorization

Bixillarla says:
You can also get the return authorization from the order page like I described above, you don't have to call unless you are more comfortable doing it that way.

I just did this myself with a case that didn't work for me.

No need to be rude. I'm sure you've had questions about something to. You sound like you're trying to be smart. Didn't you mommy teach you not to say anything if it wasnt nice?

Jeffrey could have taken care of it himself but he chose to come here to complain and ask for help, poor thing. At the bottom of this page is "Returns Are Easy" but poor Jeffrey couldn't find it. And now the bad news, it looks like he's beyond the 30 day return period.

Dog Lover says:
Don't know from whom you "ordered" but it wasn't Amazon. Amazon doesn't take money for an order until the order is shipped.

In addition, this is the Kindle forum. Just what did you "order" to make this singularly fatuous posting remotely relevant here?

Right? You'd think if they can find a "Discussion" thread, they could find Customer Service.

*You* would think, and *I* would think. And the OP is over a year old. Why this still amazes, I don't know, but it does.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 6, 2013 6:58:35 AM PST
It's a year old thread - with the answer. How they can find this thread, yet not see either the answer *or* the link to Help/Customer Support that's on every freakin' page is mind-boggling.

I weep for the future.

I weep for the present. Can't think of it actually getting worse.

Okay, so it's not just me? I *think* that makes me feel a little better but I still haven't decided.

I think you're confused. This is a board full of customer discussions. About the Kindle.

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 6, 2013 7:07:13 AM PST
We are Amazon customers. We're not Amazon employees. We cannot give you a refund. You need to contact Amazon customer service.

Dittie says:
Does this somehow answer the question DL asked and I'm just not seeing it? He or she, whomever that may be, did not tell you that other customers on the Kindle forum can issue refunds. It just didn't happen.
